Truck Freight

FedEx Freight Truck Delivering to a Main Street Store

Shipping by truck is a great option for moderate to heavy weight freight. Within the United States, trucks haul about 70% of all domestic freight tonnage – over 11 billion tons annually! Assuming your item is too large and/or heavy to be transported as a small parcel, truck freight is usually the cheapest transport mode when no oceans are involved. As a licensed freight broker and full service shipping company, we can ship almost anything by truck including furnitureartwork, cars, motorcycles, jet skis, office equipment, computer equipment, and even entire offices or households.

Less-Than-Truckload (LTL)

LTL shipping is the solution for any freight that can be palletized, or for shipments up to about 6-10 pallets or 12-20 feet in length. Most pallets are approximately 40x48x48, but a custom pallet or crate can be made to any size. Not sure if LTL is right for you? Don’t worry – LTL shipping is easy with us.  Pack and Post can arrange to pick up your items, pack or crate them, palletize, wrap and strap them and get the shipment on the most competitive carrier in your region.  There are thousands of freight carriers in the US that specialize in everything from specific regions, refrigerated loads, live plants, or expedited service. We represent a dozens of freight carriers including, but not limited to:

  • YRC
  • FedEx Freight
  • UPS Freight
  • R+L Carriers
  • Estes

Truckload Shipping

If you have more than 26,000 lbs or 20 linear feet of cargo per shipment, you need a whole truck. Full truckload shipping can have advantages over LTL shipping, since you can load and unload the truck, and get direct shipment to your destination without cross-docking and extra handling. Whether you need a local, regional or long-haul carrier, Pack and Post will match your freight to the right carrier, with the right capacity. Be sure to let us know if you need special services such as expedited shipping, short trailers, liftgate service, etc.

Flatbed and Specialty

Need to ship heavy equipment or other large machinery, commodities, or equipment? Flatbeds and specialty trailers such as Stepdeck, Gooseneck, and Lowboy trailers are available to transport almost any load. Pack and Post will match your freight with an available carrier who has the right equipment for your load. We can also provide all-inclusive service including oversize/overweight permits, surveys, pilots, and escorts, when required. We have access to the freight trucks you are looking for, get a quote now!
